On Saturday 10 March a group of Waterfall 3 Neighbourhood Watch members and their families descended on “The Splash”, armed with black bags, gloves and a whole bunch of enthusiasm. The objective was to clean up the entrance to our beautiful suburb. For about 45 minutes the members tirelessly cleaned up from Wild Fig Road right up to the Parksboard Gate and no less than 10 Black Bags were filled with rubbish, ranging from Bottles and Cans (Which will be recycled), to masses of plastic and paper, all of which pose a threat to the wildlife in the area.

We even discovered several slabs of broken granite counter tops and even an electric weedeater, which looked “hardly used”

We would like to appeal to the public at large to not only keep our Neighbourhood clean but also report those who are dumping in the area so that they can be brought to book.

A massive thanks to those Neighbourhood watch members who came out on Sunday to help with the clean up.
